Balloon Ride over the Heuvelland
The Heuvelland is the only truly rolling countryside in the Westhoek: the Kemmelberg, Catsberg, Rodenberg and Zwartenberg rise clearly above the otherwise flat polder landscape. On the French side, that same ridge of hills continues as the Monts de Flandre, taking in the Mont Cassel, the Mont des Cats and the Mont Noir. Seen from the ground, they look like two separate regions; from the basket, it's one continuous, rolling landscape, with no border in sight.
The Kemmelberg is also no stranger to cycling fans: its climb has featured in classics such as Gent–Wevelgem for decades. From our regular launch sites near Ypres and Poperinge, the hill is a fifteen- to twenty-minute drive away, and we fly over the Heuvelland regularly, whenever the wind allows.

That depends on the wind on the day, but the Heuvelland is one of the areas we fly over most often from our launch sites near Ypres and Poperinge. Our pilot decides the exact route on the ground.
