Ballonteam Westhoek has been running hot-air balloon flights from several launch sites across West Flanders and Hainaut since 1991. No rushing, no engine noise — just the wind, the landscape and, every so often, a blast of warm air from the burner.

Our pilots weigh up every flight against the wind and weather — we'd rather reschedule than cut corners. We do what we say, with safety always front and centre.
Smaller, cosier balloons
Eight balloons, each a different and comfortably manageable size. No "bus-load balloons" where you're packed in with twenty strangers. Book with a party of 6 or more, and the basket is automatically reserved exclusively for your group.

We're a West Flemish company with a passion for aviation, and have been a trusted name in ballooning since 1991 — flying widely across West Flanders and Hainaut in particular.

How your balloon flight unfolds
Meeting & briefing
We meet at the launch site, usually at sunrise or in the late afternoon — the calmest times to fly.
Set-up & inflation
You'll help unroll the balloon and watch it inflate — one of the most beautiful moments of the day, and a great start for your first photos.
The flight — at least 60 minutes
Silently carried by the wind, at varying heights. Our pilot chooses the route based on the wind on the day.
Landing
Our ground crew follows the balloon by car and is ready and waiting at the landing, wherever it happens to be along the route.
Champagne at the landing
A glass of champagne to round off the flight. Please note: we don't drive passengers back to their car or the launch site — please arrange your own transport for this.
